Goldsmith was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1988 and currently lives in Jenner, California.
Recent paintings are ethereal, abstract landscapes that border on representation. They are inspired by light and elements of nature, focusing on the balance between order and chaos in the natural world.
All paintings are created on canvas or wood panel using a variety of mediums such as oil paint, graphite, acrylic ink, watercolor and charcoal. In recent years he has expanded his practice, experimenting with functional woodwork and sculpture.
Goldsmith graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2012 and has been a full-time artist ever since.
